Planting the Word of God in the Ground of Our Hearts

Sermon Script:

I believe, we are all encouraged by the testimony from Cambodia and can also see outside that it's beginning to warm up.

I think it's time to really go and, share the gospel and invite people to come and be part of the church and the kingdom of God.

I want to speak on this topic - Planting the word of God in the Ground of your Heart.

1 Peter chapter 1, verse 23.

Let's read it together.

‘Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible word of God which lives and abides forever’

Say with me this morning, the Word of God is incorruptible, and the Word of God is a seed.

We always talk about money as a seed,but that is secondary.

Primary or primarily, this morning I want to emphasize that the Word of God is the seed.

When we hear the Word of God,the Bible says in the book of Romans, chapter 10, verse 17,

‘that faith comes by hearing'.

This should not only be heard by the physical ear, but also should go into your heart and be planted.

Say with me this morning that my heart is the ground of the Word of God.

There are many messages we have heard. Many messages of the Word of God but, today I really want to emphasize that we have to learn to plant the Word of God, the seed of the Word of God, into our hearts.

There are many seeds that you can plant.There are many seeds that are being thrown around. Sometimes the seed that you plant does not bear fruit but the Word of God is an incorruptible seed. So wherever you plant it, it will grow.

I've heard of a story of a boy that was forced to go to a Bible school. His mother was very concerned about him, and he wanted him to change.

So she bribed him. She said, I'll buy you a car.

The story is here in the United States of America.

I'll buy your car. 'll pay for all the expenses for you to go to Bible school.

And the boy agreed, and he said, I'll be only there for six months.

So this boy went and, every day he heard the Word of God but, when they asked him, he will always tell them, I'm only here for six months. I'm not here for the whole course.

After six months, I'll just go back and enjoy my car and everything that my mother has paid for.

So after six months, he went back home and home for him was in Chicago.

When he went back home, he realized that he cannot do the things that he used to do.

When he went back home, he learned that there were two of his old friends that they used to hang out together.

They've died, you know, in Chicago. You know,

there's a lot of shooting every day.

But he realized that because he spent time hearing the word of God every day. He realized that he has changed.

The Word of God will change your life.

The Word of God is the incorruptible seed of God.

You know, many times we go and ask for others

to pray for us. It's good. It's there in the body of Christ but Ive realized over the years, I have to learn myself to plant the Word of God in the ground of my heart and it will bear results.

You know, Qase Semi when he used to be here. He used to tell us one story about the Chinese bamboo. I don't know where he got that story from, but the Chinese bamboo, I heard also that the Chinese bamboo.after four years of planting the Chinese bamboo, only one leaf will grow, will begin to show but after that, in the fifth year, it will shoot up, say with me, 18ft.

So that's like the Word of God when we plant it. That's what I believe

it's happening in our church. We are planting the Word of God. Even if you do not see the result, even if you do not see any physical manifestation, there is something that is happening in the spiritual realm.

When you hear the Word of God, they something that is happening

in the spiritual realm. All of a sudden it will grow. It will be like the Chinese bamboo,and it will begin to manifest and will begin to affect the life of others.

So let's turn to the book of Mark. I'm not used to this Bible, so bear with me. Chapter four, verse 30.

Okay, let's read that one together.

Then He said, “To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth.

Let's read again verse 32.

but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.

Amen.

So you are hearing the Word of God every morning. The men of the house, they take the effort to share a short word of God to all of us but we should take the time. Each and every one of us. Not only to hear the word of God, but to plant the Word of God in the ground of your heart. When you come and share the Word of God, it is a result of the personal manifestation of the Word of God that you have planted in your heart.

So that one day that Word of God will grow, so that others may also learn from it and be part of it and be able to experience it just like it says there

so that the birds of the air may come and nest under its shade.

let's go back to, verse 26,

And He said ‘The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know. For the earth yields crops by itself, first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head.

I want to show you something . Can you just also put up Genesis chapter one, verse 11.

We all know this, verse.

Let's read it together.

Then God said, ‘Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth’; and it was so.

You know, the seed. It cannot grow unless it's planted in the ground. But this morning we learned that the ground is our heart.

We also know that when we plant the seed or you plant the seed,

which is a financial seed, it has to be planted on a ground and we know that we have to choose the type of ground.

Amen.

But the seed won't grow until it's planted, but the seed will not grow

to its maximum potential unless it's planted on good ground.

Ive heard of a story that, there were seeds that were kept in Egypt for thousand years. 3000 or 4000 years, and they preserved it. But the seed did not germinate, did not grow,

or did not amount to anything.

And then after 3000 years, they decided to take that seed and planted in the ground.

Do you know that everything that we have on earth came from the ground?

So the seed won't grow until it's planted in the ground and the ground this morning that I've already said It's our heart.

But God always operate by the system of seeds.

So it's very important the quality or the caliber of the Word of God that you hear so that you can always plant a good seed.

If you can just see that again (Genesis 1:11),

that God said, let's read it together.

And God said, ‘Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth’; and it was so. So everything is in the ground.

Say with me I'm just a dust.

Everything that you see here that everything is extracted from the ground.

Amen.

These days we a lot of people are afraid that this world is coming to an end because we are running out of resources. I believe that when God created the earth,He was not very worried about global warming.Scientists have done the research,

Years before, when it was very warm. One of the things that happen, you know, seed always germinate and grow very fast. And, when the when the environment was very, very hot in how many thousand years ago, scientists have said seeds always germinate and grow.

So what I'm saying this morning that the earth,God has designed it in such a way

that it will always preserve itself, because after that one

period came a very cold period. So the world adjusted by itself. We will never run out of resources. We will never be destroyed by a global warming. The world will only end when God decides that it is the end.

Amen.

A lot of theories that are going around, but we have to learn, this morning that the ground is is our heart this morning.

So we will go back.

We go back to what we were reading.

Mark 4:13.

It's the beginning of the parable.

And He said to them, ‘ Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? The sower sows the word. And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes and immediately takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.

So this is the problem.

When the Word of God is preached. When you hear a specific word from God, especially about your life, the first thing that will come that I want to highlight this morning, that the enemy will always come and steal that Word of God.

There are many things that will come. When you hear the Word of God

and you believe it in your heart, even your close ones, your loved ones, your relatives will come and say,

• how come you believe that?

• That thing is so outrageous. It's so impossible.

Are things that the enemy will come and use.

The enemy will try a lot of ways to steal the Word of God. I want to conclude our sermon today, what the enemy desires is that you do not plantthat Word of God in your heart.

As soon as the seed is planted.

Just imagine.

As soon as the seed is planted, you go and dig it up.

That's what the enemy wants to get up so that it does not begin to germinate and begin to, develop roots, even though you cannot see anything

that's happening above the ground.

There is something that is always happening because the Bible says that we have already read.

If you can remember what we have read today, all you do is plant the Word of Godand you keep the seed there.

It is not your business what happens to the seed. That's God's business, what he does.

He said, the farmer goes and he sleeps.

But the word, the Word of God, which is the seed,

it continues to grow and germinate and do all that transformation.

Even the scientists do not fully understand because the power is in that seed.

This morning, all you do. So the enemy will come in and try and steal the Word of God so that you dig it up.

When God comes and speak to you about your healing and speak to you about your finances, speak to you about your family situation, speak to you about your business.

Speak to you about any circumstance in your life. What the enemy always come, you always want to come and sow seeds of doubt to steal the Word of God that God has planted in your heart.

Your job is to say with me this morning, keep the seed there.

Say with me - I'm keeping the seed there.

You keep the seed in the ground. No matter what happens.

Even if you cannot see anything. No matter how the opposite is happening outside. Keep the seed in the ground, because the seed will only grow if it's in the ground,

if it's kept on the jug, if it's kept outside, if it's kept in the bag, it will not grow.

It will only grow, if it's kept in the ground.

Okay, let's continue.

Mark 4:17

and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately, and so endure only for a time

Say this with me this morning, when temptation arise, when you face ridicule - I'll keep that seed in the ground.

Because it will only grow if it's planted in the ground.

Tell the person sitting beside you - Be still

Keep the Word of God in your heart Just like that boy. Even though he went there

for another purpose just to make money. But the seed was being planted in his heart. So that's why it's very important for you to hear the Word of God.

That's why the Bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God.

That means keep it down, keep it in the ground.

One day it will begin to manifest. It'll be like that bamboo. You may not see it manifesting now, but we have to learn to take the trouble to plant the seed into the ground of our hearts.

Amen.

God has a lot of promises in store for us.

People have prayed over you. You have been fasting but the principle will never change.

Seeds will not grow unless you plant it in the ground and keep it there.

Keep it there.

I'm encouraging you this morning. Keep it there

Even though you know that, like that song. It says.

Even though you cannot see anything that is happening,

it is happening in the spiritual realm

Things we have discussed as a Church we cannot achieve it with our own human strength

The enemy comes to steal. The enemy may place negative thoughts in our hearts)

You know the enemy comes and instills thoughts of doubt.

This can never happen, What I say this morning, if God has spoken,

he is not a man, that he will lie.

Whatever he has said, it will, it will truly come to pass.

But our job this morning is to keep the seed planted in the ground so that it will begin to germinate. It will begin to grow no matter what you going through this morning, believe in the Word of God.

Say with me this morning - believe in the Word of God.

The Word of God has the power to destroy every fiery darts of the evil one.

I believe that the Word of God has been planted in our hearts.

We have to allow it time to grow and grow and grow.

One day, it will begin to manifest in your life.

You know the passage that we read today?

The farmer did not know. All of a sudden it's just grows and begin to bear fruit.

And so that what has been declared for 2024, our lives will become fruitful.

Amen, its good to fast and a lot of people have been fasting.

It's good to be prayed for. But what I've learned, what is most effective is that we take the Word of God and plant it in the ground of our hearts, and keep it there and keep it there, because it is the incorruptible seed of the Word of God.

It will never fail.
